Our Sous Chef Mike Eckert came to us from Parsnip Restaurant in Cambridge. Mike went to culinary school at Johnson and Wales in Rhode Island, graduating in 2014. After school he started at Legal Harborside. Mike worked the line and cooked a lot of meat for the lavish lifestyles of the rich and famous on the pier. After a year of fun at Legal he started as a cook with the Aquitaine Groups Roman Trattoria Cinquecento. He quickly strengthened his skills and accepted a Sous Chef position there. After a year and a half crushing Italian food the group moved him to La Motta’s their new addition to the South End. Mike worked there until they closed and shortly after started as the Sous Chef at Parsnip. We were very happy to have Mike join our team after almost a year with the team at Parsnip. In his spare time, he coaches our softball team and enjoys watching movies from the Fast and the Furious Saga.
