After having met owners Daniel and Emily Bojorquez while working events such as the Cochon 555 tour, Chris Parsons joined the Fat Hen team in the Spring of 2017. Here he focuses on creating an elegant, concise Italian inspired dishes to pair with a well cultivated wine list. The sophisticated space, and welcoming atmosphere makes for an exceptional dining experience from beginning to end.

Parsons attended Johnson & Wales and graduated with a culinary degree. He then headed to Colorado, where he spent time cooking at New Orleans inspired Evangeline’s, and then four star rated Flagstaff House Restaurant in Boulder. Coming back east, he headed the kitchen at Rialto in Cambridge before moving on to work with well known names such as Chef Normand Laprise of Montreal hotspot Toque! as sous chef at Cena and fellow 2009 Boston Rising Star Joanne Chang as chef of Flour.

Prior to La Brasa, Chef Parsons opened Steel & Rye in Boston’s Lower Mills neighborhood, as well as cult favorites Catch and Parsons Table in Winchester.
